In this article, we’re looking at the Projects section of your LinkedIn Profile.
The Projects section is a rather new LinkedIn section, a rather interesting section and a rather underutilised section of your LinkedIn Profile!
If you care for my opinion, I absolutely recommend adding Projects in your LinkedIn Profile and to see how much i value this section, feel free to check out my Profile (you will find the Projects section at the very top of my sections!)
Not convinced yet? Let me give you some reasons why you should add a Project in your LinkedIn Profile:
- It helps highlight your engagement with different enterprise schemes.
- It showcases your teamwork skills (by adding team members in a Project and thus linking to their LinkedIn Profiles).
- It demonstrates your skills & expertise and enhances your reputation, thus attracting new business opportunities.
- It increases your chances in appearing in LinkedIn search results by including keywords in your Project name and description.
- It helps you attract new visitors to your website or any specified web location you wish, when you assign a relative URL for your Project.
- It directly shows your LinkedIn Profile’s viewers, what you and your company are all about & showcases the work you’ve done for your clients.
- Lastly, including this section will assist you in reaching your target of having a fully completed LinkedIn Profile.
As you probably can identify from the above, it is an indisputable fact that Projects can really boost your LinkedIn Profile and your business!
Now, let me give you some ideas on what you could include in your Projects Section:
✔ Case Studies.
✔ E-Books.
✔ White papers, Free Reports & Research Papers.
✔ Webinars, Workshops, Classes, Courses and Programs you may offer.
✔ Coaching & Training you have given.
✔ Presentations, Lectures and Speeches you have given.
✔ Guest Blogging (blog contributions).
✔ Newsletters you distribute.
✔ Contests & Events you have organized.
✔ Your own work (your own websites developed/managed, your pages & groups in social media networks).
✔ Generally speaking, all the products and services you are offering, all your completed work or even something you are currently working on.
