You need to make sure that your background image:
- Has a very high resolution and is around 1584 pixels wide x 396 pixels tall.
- Is a JPG, GIF or PNG file under 4MB in size.
- Looks professional & clean.
- Represents your personal and/or corporate brand perfectly and conveys your story.
- Is created with your target prospects in mind.
Some things you can include in your background image are:
- Images & text that enhance your brand.
- Your logo.
- Your tagline/motto.
etc.
It is recommended that you have a professional designer (or a design team) create your LinkedIn background image for you. That is of course if you wish your profile to stand out.
